But the reality star spent time in jail in 2007. Here's what led up to her time behind bars.

Why did Khloe Kardashian go to jail?

Khloe was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in 2007 in California and initially given community service as punishment.

Alongside this, Khloe was ordered to complete an alcohol education course.

While she did successfully complete her community service, she violated her parole conditions by missing some sessions of the course.

She cited her busy schedule as a reason for missing the classes.

"He thinks that my job is a luxury and that there's no excuse on why I got kicked out [of the treatment programme]."

Khloe's mugshot was taken when she was arrested.

She was booked in at the LA County Sheriff's Department.

A judge sentenced Khloe to 30 days in jail for failing to complete her community service .

Alongside the jail time she was told to join the alcohol treatment program again.

While her month in jail seemed frightening, in reality she wasn't behind bars for that long.

Instead of the 30 days she was sentenced to, she served less than a day.

The Kardashian was released after less than three hours due to overcrowding.

This is a common practice for jails, who often release non-violent offenders if they're short on space.

At the time of her release, her representatives issued a statement.
