At the 1999 Royal Rumble, The Rock faced off against Mick Foley in an ”I Quit” match for the WWE Championship. The match has gone down as one of the most brutal matches in the history of WWE. It gained infamy for Mick Foley getting brutalized with a steel chair at the hands of The Rock. Mick Foley had his hands handcuffed behind his back and was unable to protect himself as The Rock hit Foley on the head with eleven brutal chair shots.

The match ended with Foley saying ”I quit” and The Rock became the WWE Champion.
